I have downloaded a voice. What now?
After you have downloaded a voice, you can use it as often as you want by clicking on the speaker button for the same language you bought the voice for. A voice only works for one language. If you want to use the voice feature in another language you need to buy a voice for this language. We currently offer 43 voices in 16 languages. You can find all available voices in Settings > Text-to-Speech
-
I cannot hear the voice
Please make sure that the volume is not muted.
On some iPod Touch models you may need earphones.
-
I get a message saying something about an "Sandbox Environment"
You probably have a jailbreak iPhone. At the moment it is not possible to subscribe to in-app-purchases with jailbroken iPhones. Apple does not allow this.
If you google you can find some results that removing "AppSync" first may help.
-
Do I need to pay every time I want to hear a voice?
No. Once you bought a voice for a language, you can use it as often as you like.
-
Why do voices cost money?
We have licensed a state-of-the-art TTS technology, which is for example also used in modern navigation devices. We tested a lot of other, probably more affordable options, but no alternative persuaded us.
-
Is it possible to sync bought voices between iTranslate and iTranslate Plus?
Unfortunately this is currently not possible.
